Start our organisation

Ukraine has been in a state of war since February 2022. Millions of children, women and men fear for their lives and their future. Your donations are more important than ever in the face of this humanitarian catastrophe.

Introduction
The start of the Ukraine crisis on February 24, 2022, profoundly affected me and countless others. After accompanying a medical transport of equipment for children in Ukraine, the head of Deutsche Flugambulanz gGmbH and I founded the “Airbridge Ukraine” project. Our mission: provide urgent emergency medical aid and intensive help for children. During this period, I searched tirelessly for donations to support the costs of evacuations and safe medical transport. With incredible support from Bild hilft e.V. "Ein Herz für Kinder", over 100 children have received specialized intensive care, giving them hope for a healthier future.
Background
After numerous humanitarian aid missions in Ukraine, I realized that, unlike adult services, there was little provision for children's intensive help. Children’s healthcare requires unique emergency medical aid and specialized intensive care, from accurate dosages to specially adapted equipment. Long medical transports across Ukraine’s rough terrain made improvisation dangerous. With my experience in pediatric intensive care, I created "Ambulance for Kids," a service that focuses on children’s emergency needs. Our humanitarian aid includes medical transport, equipment, and care for children, prioritizing their health even amid the Ukraine crisis.

Note: The NGO Ambulance for Kids was founded only recently. All pictures which I used here were created by me, but still for the association Paramedic Brandenburg e.V.. I have accompanied all the transports on here myself. The ambulance cars are designed more for “normal” adult transports, I have specialised in children with AFK. From special mattresses to special equipment to a special transport incubator, everything will be available in the future. I want to offer child intensive care transports more safely and to a high Level standard. Improvisation can exist in exceptional cases, but it must not be the rule…
